An important program, the Print Collectors Club is designed to build an educated, informed and sophisticated audience for prints and printmaking. This program is co-chaired by two highly regarded and experienced artists and printmakers, Kathryn Trigg and Jennifer dela Cruz.
A subscription membership in The Print Collectors Club is $500.00 annually. The Club’s year runs from September 1 through August 31 of the following calendar year. Each year, the Club’s subscription print will be unveiled at the Host Committee’s Opening Reception for the Print Works Invitational, and available then for pick up or delivery to paid subscribers.
Each year, the commissioned print will have a market value of between 3 and 4 times the subscription price. All print editions will be signed by the artist and numbered appropriately. When the allotted spaces for subscription membership have been filled, you may elect to be placed on a waiting list for a future vacancy. Subscribers have first priority when it is time to re-subscribe each fall.
In addition to receiving your print, you will receive invitations to a series of informative and interesting printmaking studio tours, demonstrations, gallery and museum tours with talks and an opportunity to see privately held and “off limits” print collections with knowledgeable guides. Most such events will include receptions. These opportunities are being designed to enhance your understanding of both the processes involved in the art of printmaking and the intricacies of the “print world” from the perspective of a collector. Print Clubs have been a part of American art collecting for a long time and have historically produced a wealth of excellent work in addition to pure enjoyment and fun in the “collecting process”.
You may reserve a subscription membership now in The Print Collectors Club by joining with a payment of $500.00. This is an opportunity to acquire a valuable print you may wish to add to your personal collection or donate to a museum, library or school where a tax deduction may be appropriate.
