Guided Tour of Cornish College Graduate Works At Fred Hutchinson
Location: 1100 Fairview Avenue North, Seattle
Since 2005, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has graciously collaborated with Cornish College of the Arts to annually showcase contemporary art. By extending student’s work further into the public, the Hutch Community gains artistic enrichment and the emerging artists begin their careers with confidence. Most are by the graduating class of 2010 with many pieces from previous classes remaining on loan. The work spans Printmaking, Painting, Photography, Installation and Sculpture. Some highlighted artists are printmaker Charles Spitzack, video artist E. Dughi, painter Anne Kimble, and multi-media artists Kris Dales and Estee Clifford. Allyce Wood, 2010 graduate, is the Exhibition Manager and acting Tour Guide. This collection shows an undeniable range of topics and expression, and amounts to a wholly interesting and enticing exhibition.
